Christmas on the Canal is held in November of each year
Ho Ho Ho – Christmas on the Canal brings Holiday Fun to the village!
Held in November each year, residents are invited to gather in downtown Bolivar near the Christmas House, when the parade will start things off! (Most activities are held outside, so dress for the weather)
Children can enjoy crafts and making buttons with the Bolivar Library before or after visiting with Santa.
New in 2024 was hot chocolate and coffee which were available to purchase from Rolling Refreshments, and Pistol Lilies had Christmas T-shirts for sale!
The parade starts things off, when the Bolivar Fire Department delivers the precious cargo of Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with a few of their elves!
Children are welcome to stop at the Christmas House to visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves. Parents are encouraged to take pictures of their child with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Music, hay rides, train rides and more will keep those spirits bright!
Santa’s mailbox will be set up at the Christmas House. Children writing to the big guy who include their address will receive a reply from Santa himself! (For a reply, your letter should be in by Dec. 1, 2024)
If you or your organization would like to participate in this year’s parade, we would love to have you! Please download our entry form here.
